Improvements to project sharing and floor planning
Share projects with a simple link, in addition to adding crew
People without a Scenario account, or with a Free Demo or Starter account, have view-only permissions
Scenario Pro users have the permissions defined at the project level
New sharing property: enable users to copy and paste data from your shared projects
Set permissions at the project and crew level, so you can decide who can do what
Depending on the permission level (View Only, Edit Diagrams, Edit Project), users can:
Duplicate whole projects
Copy and paste diagrams and lists, and move them to their own projects
Copy and paste crew and list items
Copy and paste diagram items
Use arrow keys to “nudge” wall segments and points, for more precise floor plans

This version adds full control over item colors, as well as usability improvements.
Custom and fill color capability for all items!
Select an item and tap the new color button to open the new color picker.
Choose whether you want to edit Stroke or Fill (which is available for any items with a closed inner area)
Use the box to choose a color for the selected hue; use the sliders to choose the hue and opacity
Enter a hex color or RGB values
Tap a saved “swatch” to apply that color, or press-and-hold the swatch to save the current color in that spot
Swatch collections are saved per-Project
With a diagram open, press the S
key to “search” for items to add (it opens the Add Item sidebar and focuses the search field so you can start typing)
Searching for items now includes “keywords” that we’ve supplied. These aren’t visible, but might help you find things more easily.
Example: there are no items named “flag,” but if you search for it, you’ll get all of the “solids” that aren’t frames
Removed the CMD
key for nudging items on the diagram, and also removed their obeying the snap setting
Now, using arrows
by themselves moves in small increments, and Shift
arrows
moves in large ones
To rotate an item, hold Option
(or Alt
) and use the left and right arrows
Made it easier to select and move Fixtures, and not focus them by mistake
Hiding a DMX address for a Fixture does not remove its value, so it can be hidden temporarily

This version adds native “floor planning” features to Scenario Diagrams.
Floor planning adds a new section to the Add Item sidebar, called “Floor Plan.” This will allow you to add:
A pre-made Group containing a Wall with a Door and Window connected to it.
Multi-point line that represents the walls of your set.
Select the whole Wall, individual segments, or individual points
Make changes by adding, moving, and deleting points or segments
Doors and Windows can be “connected” to Walls if Snap is enabled, so when the Wall moves, connected items move with it
Move along a connected Wall
Change with by dragging its control points or entering a new size in the Details sidebar
Change the “swing direction” by cycling through the four options
Change the number of doors in the Details sidebar
Move, rotate, resize, and connect to Walls just like a Door
Free-resize using the four corner points
Stairs display the “up” direction; set the number of treads in the Details sidebar
Searching in the Add Item list would show an 18” Solid even when it didn’t match the search
Improvements:
Displays “add segment” button when an endpoint is selected
Control points on selected Wall segments can be dragged
Connected Window, Door, and Gap items size correctly when copy/pasted

This version adds usability features for working quickly and configuring diagrams.
This version includes these new features:
Quickly copy items from one place to another
Works on Diagrams, Lists, and Crew (and works between different ones, so you can copy things from one Diagram to another, for example)
Note that you cannot copy and paste from a shared Project; that’s an option that will come in a future version!
Scale fixtures to the size you want, between 10% to 500% of default size
Choose the size of an item’s text label, from five options
When editing the text, Shift
Enter
creates a new line
Hide all buttons and sidebars when a Diagram is locked, making it more obvious (so you don’t accidentally lock and then get frustrated when you’re unable to select an item)
Improvements:
Fixed small layout issues on mobile devices
Changed List item editing to make it easier to switch between the Item Name and Quantity fields
Improvements:
Fixed a bug where, on some devices, the app would not launch if the network was offline

This version adds snap alignment for diagram items, marquee selection, selection between rows, and a new “Distance” item.
Pipe (technically):
“Distance” for displaying measurements
This version includes these new features:
Toggle the “snap” feature on and off with the new button, or using the N
key
When dragged, items on the diagram with line up with each other, horizontally and vertically
Items will also follow these rules when changed on the diagram or the Details sidebar:
Items will rotate to increments of 5º (it’s 1º when disabled)
Items will “nudge” by 0.5 feet or 0.2 meters (or 2px when disabled)
Items that scale (like pipes) will do so by the same increments
Two ways to select all items within an area of your diagram:
Drag a box; all items whose center is inside the box will be selected
(Touchscreen only) press and drag with four fingers to make a shape
To select a range of rows on the Layers sidebar:
Click one row
Hold Shift
and click another row
All the rows between the two clicks will be selected (you can still use CMD
to multi-select individual rows)
Small updates:
Added Google Analytics for anonymized performance tracking
